It is very unusual to see them coming together for fashion and charitable events. But the Madison Square Boys & Girls Club is making this possible on the 21st of this month on the occasion of its annual Purses and Personalities event at The Metropolitan Club.
It’s not only the event that is exciting, but the people you will find there will make it worth visiting. This event will honour big names in the fashion industry. Don’t you want to know who they are?
This time, the people who have been chosen to receive this honour are Sandra Choi, Creative Director at Jimmy Choo; Tim Gunn, Author, and Educator; Karen Klopp, Founder of What 2 Wear Where; and Amber Sabathia, Creator, and Designer of CCandyClothing.
Wondering where the charity part of this event is? The fund generated at this event will make valuable contributions to bring about positive changes in New York’s underserved youth’s lives. How are these lives going to experience change?
It’s been a ritual at The Madison Square Boys& Girls Club since 1887 to ensure academic success, good character and citizenship, and the adoption of a healthy lifestyle.
Throwing more light on the event, Joseph Patuleia, Executive Director of Madison Square Boys & Girls Club, said, “This year we are proud to be celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Purses & Personalities, this event is always one of our highlighted events, providing the opportunity to support our mission while celebrating visionary leaders of the fashion industry. We are so grateful for the communities who uphold the wonderful success of this event every year.”
Along with the above-mentioned celebration, the event also includes lunch for 300 people and an auction of over 100 designer handbags by world-famous designers.
