The London department store located in Knightsbridge, Harrods is ushering in Christmas in the most fantastical fashion. The department store known for its reputation for wealth, glamor, and opulence has unveiled its extravagant Christmas window display on November 1st featuring a Disney-princess theme.
The display will be on site until the end of Christmas and features the much-loved traditional characters such as Belle, Jasmin, Cinderella, Snow-White, Rapunzel, Pocahontas, and Sleeping Beauty alongside some of the newer characters like Mulan and Tiana.
Harrods is well known for its elaborately crafted displays which make window shopping just as enjoyable as buying. The store has collaborated with some of the top designers to celebrate Christmas in the most unusual way by recreating the iconic princesses with glamorous re-imagined dresses.
The display also coincides with the opening of the 7000 sq ft Disney area on the fourth floor of the high-end department store which will house a Disney Princess Pop-up Boutique and a range of other Disney products. The Display is a tribute to each of the Disney princess characters which are featured.
The designers who let their imaginations run wild, mused by these characters are Elie Saab who recreated Sleeping Beauty, Ariel was recreated by Marchesa, Cinderella by Versace, Rapunzel by Jenny Packham, Jasmin by Escada, Pocahontas by Roberto Cavalli, Mulan by Missoni, Belle by Valentino, Tiana by Ralph & Russo and Snow White by Oscar de la Renta. Although Tinker Bell from Peter Pan isn’t technically a Princess; nevertheless, she also makes a cameo appearance in the display.
