Since modern life is not giving you time to take care of yourself, there’s a device created to do just that! It’s called HidrateMe, and it takes care of your water intake every day. Drinking adequate water seems to be the most neglected activity in modern life; a device is created that will remind you to hydrate yourself.
HidrateMe is a 24 oz. – 710 ml bottle, made from BPA-free Tritan plastic, and it uses a unique method to remind you to keep drinking water throughout the day. HidrateMe has a sensor inside which monitors the amount of water intake per day. This is done by sending an indication to the HidrateMe app on your smartphone.
According to your height, weight, age, and activity level, the iPhone and Android friendly app tells you how much water your body needs per day. This way, you know exactly how much water you need. Not only this, but the app also considers the temperature, humidity, and elevation in your environment while indicating your water needs.
The sensor fit in HidrateMe, makes it glow, telling you it’s time to hydrate yourself. There is more than one reason for you to own HidrateMe. It is user friendly in terms of being dishwasher safe and leak proof. You can easily carry it anywhere you want.

When you buy HidrateMe, you don’t have to worry about it, only it will worry about you! The battery inside HidrateMe is designed to run for one whole year. So, you don’t have to worry about replacing it for a year. However, the process of replacing the battery is not very tough. These batteries are available in almost all stores, so you don’t have to work hard to find them.
They have unlocked the first stretch goal as promised, which is a purple bottle. This comes with a special app feature called Don’t Leave Me Behind. This does not let you lose your HidrateMe bottle. With a reminder on your smartphone, it helps you locate your bottle, based on where it was last seen. The makers of this unique device are passionate students who met at the University of Minnesota.
They aimed to create something that can help us all feel better. This creative team consists of Alexander “Ham” Hambrock, Coleman Iverson, Nadya Nguyen, Daniel Worku, and Alexandra Feeken. This is a great combination as the team has engineers, designers, marketers, and developers.
To keep problems away, they made sure that the manufacturers are involved in every stage of production. This is probably why they hope to reach their targets of placing the manufacturing order by the end of June 2015.
