iCheck a jQuery plugin for custom Checkbox and Radiobuttons

I hope you remember that earlier I have covered an article or tutorial on how to build Pure CSS3 Custom Checkbox and Radio buttons with Sprite Image? Yeh its a pure CSS3 solution for modern browsers which supports CSS3 but when you go to Internet Explorer we always need a fallback JavaScript so in my case I have used Selectivizr – it is just because I don’t have time to spend on preparing custom JavaScript as a fall back to just support old browsers.

Today – I just came across this cool iCheck, which is a jQuery plugin to create your own custom Checkbox and Radiobuttons. Not only that this plugin is compatible to all browsers and devices, works pretty well in touch devices like iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone etc. and is Keyboard accessible and developer friendly approach and among all it is pretty light weight with just 1 kb gzipped.

If you are a developer or a designer and if you have no time to build custom script then I would suggest to go with either pure CSS3 version or this iCheck – based on whether it is device specific or browser specific, you could decide and use as you wish.

But I love this iCheck version which is fully customizable, skin-able, developer friendly and easy to implement – a time and budget saver solution for your next project :)
