Let your Preemie be seen in the George – Tommy attire!

Babies are a blessing that will change your life forever. Sometimes these little surprises decide to come earlier than what is expected! That could be scary but it is still a very beautiful gift of God. The only thing that is the difference between these bundles of joy is that they need a tad bit of extra care.

Clothing them in the right way is a major aspect of this extra care. The early arrival being more frequent in the UK, the people there decided to do something about their premature citizens and so George at Asda joined hands with Tommy’s to make tiny clothes for tiny people.

This was not an out of the blue idea. It has thorough research in its history. A new survey commissioned by George and Tommy’s* found that 80% of parents who experienced a premature delivery found buying clothing to fit their baby a significant challenge. 90% said that there is not enough premature baby clothing available on the high street and a further 87% had no idea where to shop for premature baby clothing. What’s best is not only the availability of these cloths but also the rate at which they are available. You will be surprised to know that it is available at 10% of the rate on a high street. Keeping in mind the convenience of the parents of a premature baby the stores have been established at a very short distance making it easy for them to buy pretty clothes for their little ones!

The brand which was launched on Saturday in as many as 70 Asda stores across the UK promises to take the best care of your newborn with their range of cosmetic care that pays attention to your baby’s extra sensitive skin.  The DreamSkin technology that is part of these products will help your baby deal with a number of problems relating to sensitive, dry, or irritable skin eczema or dribble rash. Above all, it works like magic in retaining moisture in your baby’s skin. You must hear from the makers to help you make a decision.

Brand director for George, Fiona Lambert said:

“When we first visited St. Thomas’ hospital to speak to midwives and hold focus groups it became clear quite quickly that parents of premature babies struggle to find suitable and affordable clothing. Our new range is full of beautiful designs and has been specifically created around the needs of premature babies so parents can rest assured that they are giving their baby the very best from a brand they trust.”

Emma-Lees Laing, Midwifery Manager at Tommy’s spoke similarly:

“Premature babies can spend many weeks in hospital being cared for by medical staff, and often dressing their baby is one of the few ways that parents can care for their newborn. However, getting clothes to fit a 3lb baby is a real struggle and often parents are reliant on hospital gowns or nothing at all. This new affordable range means that parents will be able to choose clothes for their children in the same way as other parents, dress them in clothes personal to them, and start the journey of daily care for their baby.”

So parents if the article makes you want to cloth your baby in this brand log on to George.com. Take a look at the amazing designs whose price starts from not more than 5 pounds. Do let us know your experience with the brand. Happy shopping!
