LG Electronics is shifting focus on providing 4G LTE support and higher processing power with the two new devices, both of which run on the Android 4.1.2 OS. These are what they’ve named the Optimus F series phones.
The two phones have been coded F 7 and F5. These two are a part of the affordable mid-range price series like the Optimus L Series.
LG Optimus F7 is the main phone and runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and functioning on a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. The phone has an excellent 4.7-inch True HD IPS 312ppi display and size 131.7 x 68.2 x 9.6mm, making it super easy to carry around.
Memory specs of the gadget are pretty satisfying, with 8GB of internal memory and microSD expandability up to 32GB. The good stand-out feature of the phone is the 2GB of RAM Keeping; the phone will be running on a 2,540 mAh battery. Two cameras have been installed on the phone, an 8-megapixel camera on the rear and a 1.3-megapixel snapper on the front.
On to the LG Optimus F5, it much likes the F7 but differs only slightly in features. The screen is 4.3-inches, the IPS display isn’t as nice as what the F7 has to offer. Processor speed drops down a touch to 1.2GHz but remains dual-core; it is 126.0 x 64.5 x 9.3mm in size; it has no physical home button but possesses backlit touch-sensitive keys, which is fair enough unless you’re too picky.
This model has only 1GB RAM and the built-in memory, which via micro SD, can be expanded to 8GB. The phone supports two cameras too, 5-megapixel on the rear and 1.3-megapixels on the front. A 2,150mAh battery will run the phone, which seems reasonable considering it is smaller than the F7.
The edge that these phones have over other smartphones is the price value. LG will be bringing the 4G experience to users for way less. This is great, especially if you’re a user who has tech needs but is not sitting on a gold mine!
