MYO – The coolest gizmo of the year

Okay there are no consensus on the title, but come on! an arm band to control your tech world, fabulously useful. MYO is a new product by Thalmic Labs, which is basically an arm band that will  change how you interact with your gadgets. Now this is something amazing, if someone would’ve told you you could maneuver through your day with the help of an armband that syncs with your digital technologies you’d laugh out loud.

But Thalmic Labs have made true something that can prove to be very crucial to our tech driven existence. The band works by; ‘using the electrical activity in your muscles to wirelessly control your computer, phone, and other favorite digital technologies’ says the website.

Because the technology behind this product is so advance, it can measure electrical activity in your muscles instantly, making you effortlessly move through with your work. For now MYO is supporting Windows and Mac OS fully, and APIs will additionally be available for iOS and Android developers to integrate the myo on those platforms.

The MYO is carefully designed with one size fitting all, and is available in two colors black and white. It uses Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy to communicate with the devices it is paired with. It features on-board, rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries, and an ARM processor. The MYO is outfitted with Thalmic’s proprietary muscle activity sensors. It also features a 6-axis inertial measurement unit. That’s enough specs to make you believe it’s amazing!

Now available for Pre-order the product costs $149, and will be shipped toward the end of this year. However there are only limited number of this product available, so if you’re a full blown tech junkie make sure you order yours!
