Over at the fashion houses, the battle is on for having the top celebrities dress in their gowns and suits. This is the time where all the money is minted and major exposure is guaranteed to any brand. In the struggling economy, even fashion designers are waving high flags for celebrities to clad themselves in their labels. This is also the main season for celebrity stylists to make sure their clients are on the best-dressed lists, especially since the show Fashion Police goes into details and makes sure the ugly are known.
Other than being exuberant in their hosting, this year Academy Awards are breaking records too, Quvenzhane Wallis of ‘Beasts of the Southern Wild’ is the youngest actress ever to be nominated for the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role category. That would be an life changing experience for this young girl if she were to win. On the not so green side is Emmanuelle Riva of ‘Amour’ who is the oldest person to be nominated for a lead acting award. It would be great for anyone to break records in an event in its 85th year for sure!
The big night is just a month away, and celebrity buzz is all around. Who’s going to be wearing what, who is going to win, who will end up on the worst dressed list, who will shock us with their performance, how will the night unfold, will there be any mishaps on the red carpet and on the stage?. These are the many questions whose answer only time will tell, and the clock is ticking!
