Beauty Tips for Healthy Skin

Following a daytime skincare routine is not enough to get healthy and glowing skin. The moment you go to bed at night, the skin starts repairing and regenerating the cells on its own and undergoes several other skin changes.

However, if the skin is accumulated with the dust, pollutants, and free radicals, it will occur as a hindrance in the path of repairing process of the skin and results in various skin issues, which are as follows:

  • Premature skin-aging
  • Dry skin
  • Dehydrated skin
  • Skin disorders like rashes, redness of the skin, acne, etc.

Therefore, night skincare is a must supply the skin with essential care after long working hours. Apart from taking required beauty sleep, here are some of many skincare tips to make the most of nighttime hours and have glowing skin by morning.

On this page

  • Wash your face
  • Moisturize your skin
  • Don’t forget under-eyes
  • Drink enough water
  • Eat the right food at night
  • Change your sleeping position

Wash your face

I know it feels like a big task sometimes to get up from the bed and splash water on the face, especially when you are fully exhausted after working for long hours. But, if it is neglected, then the dust particles and other forms of air pollution remain stick on your skin that will accelerate aging and can damage skin as well.

No matter if you have makeup on or not, wash the face properly before going to bed to protect the skin and aids the process of skin regeneration.

Moisturize your skin

Moisturizing helps in creating softer, hydrated and better-looking skin the next day you wake up. It also helps in delaying skin aging and makes the skin blemish-free. Use natural ways to take care of the skin to support healing overnight. Let’s look at a few of them:

  • Coconut oil
  • Watermelon
  • Aloe Vera
  • Almond oil

Note: Beware of your skin type (dry, oily, normal, or sensitive) before using any of the ingredients as a moisturizer regularly.

Don’t forget under-eyes

Under eyes needs special care since they are the most sensitive and thinnest part of your skin. Apply cucumber, cold raw milk or tea bags to remove puffiness and dark circles around the eyes in the evening. Many signs of aging start appearing first around the eyes that make it crucial to take extra care of under eyes.

Drink enough water

This is one of the most important yet obvious among the other beauty tips to follow. Well-hydrated skin provides the moisture within the skin, which makes the skin clean and clear with a youthful look.

Gulp a glass of water before taking a nap and after getting out of bed in the morning and soon you will get rosy cheeks and lips naturally. You can also reach out to fresh and natural cold-pressed juices that are enriched with vitamin C, B, and K like watermelon, pineapple, carrot, pomegranate, orange, and lemon or coconut water to obtain the same results.

Eat the right food at night

Eating the right kind of food in the dinner has a beneficial effect on your skin. Avoid artificially sweetened drinks and junk food at night, as they can cause havoc to your skin. Stick to the following foods at night time to wake up looking gorgeous:

  • Veggies like broccoli, spinach, kale, cucumber, carrots, tomatoes, and sweet potatoes
  • Fruits like pineapple, watermelon, orange, pomegranate, and orange
  • Nuts
  • Greek Yogurt
  • Oatmeal

Change your sleeping position

Attention side-sleepers! This is a high time to switch your sleeping position if you want a younger looking screen. It has been observed that sleeping on the sides causes creases and wrinkles on the face due to the constant pressure on cheeks. Better sleep on your back to turn the dreams of beautiful skin into a reality.

Follow a monthly visit to a dermatologist to keep a check on your skin health and stick on to these basic night skincare tips to delay the signs of aging and have beautiful skin in waking hours.
