Step #1: Create Your Account
You can create a Free 7-day trial account on Hoppy Copy (that too without any credit card!). To do this, go to their home page and click on the “Write for Free” button on the top left. You can create your account with any of your email accounts. OR you can do so via your Google account.
Once you log in to your account, the tool will ask you a few basic questions to deliver a more optimized experience. For example, it will ask for what purpose you are using the tool, what your role is, what your company size is, and a couple more questions.
Once you are done, you will land on the home page, where a Video tutorial Window will pop up. I strongly recommend watching those videos if you want to explore each and every feature of Hoppy Copy.
Step #2: Checkout the Features
There’s so much you can do with even a free trial account. As you can see in the image below, the UI is super user-friendly. You get all your tools on the top and the menu on the left-hand side.
The developers have classified all the features into 6 primary categories, i.e. e-mail campaigns, newsletter, copy booster, outreach, social posts, and website & more.
So, if you want to be more focused on any particular content format, you can easily jump to that section. For example, I am going to show you a hands-on trial for creating a newsletter. So when I click on the newsletter section at the top, I’ll land on a section that totally focuses on the newsletter.
As you can see, there are a plethora of options related to the newsletter (12, to be precise!) So whether you want to create an entire newsletter, get some ideas for your newsletter, want to share some curated resources, or want to offer a weekly spotlight, everything is right here.
Step #3 Start Creating the Copy
Now, I want to create a Newsletter. So I have to click on the first section called “Newsletter Creator”. This is where you can create your entire Newsletter with the images. This is how the creator section looks.
As you can see, it’s divided into two parts. On the left, you’ve got all your template questions. On the right, you have a blank document. You can use it to copy and paste whatever the Hoppy Copy creates. You can use this section to finalize your content.
On the top-right of the document section, you can see multiple options. We will talk about these options later in the blog. First, let’s focus on how to create a Newsletter.
Step #4 Create a Newsletter
The first step for creating a newsletter is to decide whether you want a multi-section newsletter or a single story. Then comes the “Details” section. Here, you enter important details like what your target audience is, who you are, why you are sending this information, and what the topic of the newsletter is.
Blew that, there’s an option to pick the “Tone” of the template. Here, you can pick a variety of tones that match your brand guidelines and your products.
Then, the tool asks whether you want to include images in the newsletter. Finally, on the bottom-left, you have the option to choose whether you want your newsletter to be in-depth or a Speedy one.
Step #5 Pick your Newsletter Type
In this case, let’s assume we are creating a New Year Newsletter. The newsletter is sent to my readers from my blogging site, WittySparks. The newsletter is about what people can expect in terms of innovations in cryptocurrency this new year!
So, first things first, I’ll toggle to “Mulit-section” to create a multi-section newsletter. If you are creating a newsletter for a campaign, it’s better to go for a multi-section.
Step #6: Add Details
Once that’s done, it is time to add details. This is the most important part. Remember, Hoppy Copy, too, follows the simple AI-writing thumb rule, “Garbage In, Garbage Out!” So make sure you add all the information accurately to get a good response.
As you can see, I have added critical information to the template. I have added my information, target audience, what the newsletter should be about, what it should mention, and more. Such detailed information ensures the output will be a killer one.
Step #7: Select the Right Tone
Now is the time to pick the tone. Look, personally, I prefer a Witty and Casual tone for more subscribers. But that’s me. If you think a more persuasive, professional, or classic tone suits your reader, then go for it.
Also, the tone depends on the occasion and why you are sending the newsletter. If you can’t decide what tone to use, get going with the “Hoppywriter” tone!
This is the option in which the tool automatically decides the tone based on your target audience and the brand information that you provided. What’s best? You can even create your custom brand voice!
This will help you maintain consistency over your entire newsletter communication. It will also make your marketing copy sound more personal. But for this one example, let’s proceed with the “Witty” tone!
Step #8: Insert Image
Finally, it’s time to select whether you want to include images in the newsletter or not. The tool really creates very attractive images on its own. So you can use it without a fuss. But if you want to add your own images based on your brand tone, just toggle off this option.
At the same time, pick whether you want an in-depth newsletter or want something quickly. For this example, let’s go for “Depth” and let the tool include the images.
Step #9: Create the Newsletter
Finally, hit the “Create” button and wait for a couple of seconds. The tool will start creating the newsletter copy that you want.
As you can see, the Newsletter Creator quickly came up with a lot of newsletter outlines. In fact, there are so many options that I can send a newsletter every week, and it won’t run out for months. But wait, these are not actual newsletters. These are just outlines.
Step #10: Write the Marketing Copy for Your Newsletter
So, how do you create a final newsletter? Well, you pick anyone from the list. Let’s pick the first one itself, “Top crypto trends for the new year”. To write it down, just click on the white “Write” button on the top left against each outline.
If you want to copy the outline to your document or put it in the blank space on the left, you can do that, too. But let’s make it a bit simple and let the tool write the copy itself. Once you hit that “Write” button, the tool will start creating the copy.
See? This is what I was talking about! Your entire newsletter copy and image are ready. Just insert it into the document by clicking the button available on the top left of each copy. Once you do, you can edit the newsletter copy and images, too.
Step #11: Regenerate the Marketing Copy
Let’s say I don’t like the copy of the newsletter. So, there is an option at the top to edit the copy. All you have to do is click on this Regenerate button, and your entire copy will be revised. You can either regenerate the entire copy or you can pick just one section and edit it.
Or do you want to add emojis? There’s an option on that same bar for that, too. Let’s say you want to change the tone. Well, you can do it directly from that menu bar. Once you regenerate the copy, you get 3 different copies! You can pick anyone you like and use it.
Step #12: Edit the theme
Finally, there is an option to change the theme of your newsletter. You can do so by clicking that button just beside the “Publisher” button. It will take you to the new window where you can make multiple changes.
You can add logo images or insert links to the logo; you can set background images, change color, edit styling, and change the header footer. Have you ever ever seen such a detailed writing tool? Honestly, I haven’t.
Step #13: Publish your Newsletter
Finally, you can send the newsletter or even a test mail by clicking on the Publisher button. You can preview your email here, polish it even further, check the stats of your email, or send a test email.
