Blending Visme’s flair for eye-catching design with the nuts and bolts of form creation is a game changer for anyone looking to hook their audience and generate leads.
Imagine creating forms that don’t just sit there waiting to be filled but actually draw people in. That’s how Visme Forms actually perform. These forms are visually striking and make your forms look like they’ve been designed by a pro, even if you’re new to the design game.
And the best part? You don’t need to be a tech wizard to use it. It’s simple enough for beginners but also packs enough punch for those who love a bit of technical zest in their tools.
But it’s not all about looks. Visme Forms are smart too. It plays well with other platforms – think MailChimp, HubSpot, Google Sheets – which is great if you’re looking to integrate it into your existing workflow.
And for those who love to dive into data, the analytics feature is a real gem. You get to see how your forms are performing, which can be super insightful.
Now let’s take a look at some of the most amazing features of Visme Forms.
Visme Forms Features
In my Visme Forms review, I came across multiple features that impressed me pretty well. Here’s the list of those features:
- Tailor-Made Just for You: Imagine crafting a form that fits your needs like a glove. Whether you’re collecting names, emails, or something more unique, Visme Forms lets you do it your way, no techy stuff is needed. Doesn’t matter for which industry you are designing the form, Visme Forms has got you covered.
- Easy-Peasy Publishing: You know those times when tech stuff feels like rocket science? Well, not here. With Visme Forms, you can get your form out there with a simple link or QR code. And the best part? There is a common concern that such forms can turn a website into a sluggish one. I know this is a common issue with a lot of form builders. But not with Visme Forms. It won’t drag your website down either – smooth as silk.
- Plays Well with Others: Got a bunch of tools you already love? I understand that. Today you cannot rely on a single tool for a website to work like a charm. And that’s why you’ll need to deal with a lot of them. But Visme Forms gets along with them like old friends. Whether it’s MailChimp or Google Sheets, it’s all about making your life easier.
- Superb Analytics: Who doesn’t like to know what’s working and what’s not? It gives you a clear idea of how to optimize your strategy further for better conversions. That’s where the analytics from Visme Forms come to your rescue. The analytics dashboard in Visme Forms is like having a spyglass in your form’s world. Real-time insights? Yes, please!
- Engaging Forms: Think forms are boring? Might be, but not the Visme Forms! Visme Forms brings fun with animated characters that not only grab attention but also show off your brand’s cool side. How is this beneficial? Well, people don’t like those boxy forms with no animation or visuals. And Visme Forms is here to change that. It has a bank of visually stunning forms that work like a charm for your visitors.

Enough of the features! Now let’s take a look at how you can use Visme Forms to build forms.
Step-by-step Guide on How to use Visme Forms
For creating and using Visme Forms, you will have to create an account on Visme. Here’s the step-by-step guide for the process:
Step 1: Create an Account
You can create a trial account if you are just getting started. Visme offers a free trial for those who are not sure about buying this tool. Once you get acquainted, you can always upgrade to the paid version.
Step 2: Login to Your Visme Account
Once you have created your account, it’s time to log in. As you can see in the image below, the dashboard is clean and clutter-free.
For your better understanding, I’ve labeled certain sections numerically. Here’s what each number indicates:
- This is where you can create a new project
- This is where the multiple tools of Visme Forms are located i.e. Projects, My Files, Content Calendar, Data Analytics, and more.
- From here, you can download the desktop or mobile app.
- You can filter the templates from here
There is no extra and unnecessary clutter on the dashboard. This means you get a superfast tool that even a beginner can learn and master easily. If you are a first-time user, I recommend you explore the dashboard for a while to get acquainted with the multiple features available here.
Step 3: Create Form
Navigate to the “Create New” button. Here, you’ll find multiple options. Go to the Form/Survey section and click on it.
Once you click on it, you will be redirected to a new page as shown below. Here, the tool will ask you to pick the purpose of your form. Right now, there are only two options active, i.e. Newsletter Signup and Lead Magnets.
But Visme will be launching the other options shorty. Let’s say I want to grow my subscriber’s list. So I’ll pick the Newsletter Signup one.
Step 4: Select the Form
Once you select the purpose of your form, you will land on the template library. From here, you can pick any template that suits your needs. Right now there are 22 templates available in this template library and this number is all set to rise shortly.
But trust me, these 22 options are more than enough! They cover almost every industry and every type of form that you will ever need. Here’s the entire list:
- Simple Newsletter Subscription
- Newsletter Subscription
- B2B Newsletter Subscription
- Company Blog Subscription
- Company Newsletter Subscription 2
- Sales Blog Subscription Form
- Company News Subscription
- Blog Newsletter Subscription
- Company Newsletter Subscription
- Short Newsletter Subscription
- Weekly Newsletter Subscription
- Standard Newsletter Subscription
- Simple Newsletter Subscription
- Simple Blog Subscription
- Expert Blog Subscription
- Monthly Newsletter Subscription
- Company Updates Subscription
- Product Updates Subscription
- Special Offers Subscription Form
- Business Newsletter Subscription
- News Subscription Form
- Enterprise Newsletter Subscription
Another thing that I liked about Visme Forms here is, that you can preview the form before editing it. This will give you a clear idea of how this form will look once you edit and finalize it. All you have to do is hover your mouse pointer over the template and click on the “Preview” button.
Step 5: Edit the Form
Once you like the preview, click on the “Use this Template” button on the screen. You will land on the page that looks something like this:
As you can see on the left-hand side, there are toggle options for Logos, headings, text, and more. You can keep them as it is or you can toggle them off to remove them from your form’s design. It’s pretty cool, right? You don’t have to code anything, write any, or drag and drop anything. Just add or remove whatever you want.
Now these are the options for the content. But if you want to make some changes to the style of the form, there is an option for that too.
Click on the button shown above you will have options to choose different styles. You can either use the presets available or you can create your own style if you want hyper customization.
But if you ask me, if you find a style that matches your brand’s color palate, it’s good to use the preset ones. They will save a lot of time for you. But of course, feel free to make your own decision, I am just offering a suggestion!
As you can see, I picked the second style and it was applied within seconds. It’s looking more sleek, minimal, and attractive, to be honest!
Now it’s time to pick your character. Visme offers two types of characters for your forms, Formal and Casual. Consider your website, audience, and style.
But wait, this gets even more interesting. You can even change the animation, i.e. you can change the way your character appears on the screen! Pick the motion that matches your website’s tone and audience.
If you ask me, don’t overkill it. Choose a simple animation and you are good to go.
Step 6: Review Your Form
Once you have made all the necessary changes, make sure you preview your form. You can preview the form by clicking the preview button on the top right of the editing window.
One more interesting thing here is, you can preview how your form will look on a computer as well as mobile. This will ensure you can make any subtle changes before you launch and can save a lot of time.
Step 7: Connect to Automate
Now that you are done with the design, it’s time to connect with other apps for seamless data collection. For this, Visme offers an option to connect with the 10 apps at a time.
Here’s what each tool can do for you:
- MailChimp: Funnel your form-gathered contacts straight into MailChimp for a no-sweat sorting experience.
- HubSpot: Channel the contacts you snag through your form right to HubSpot, making organization a breeze.
- Google Sheets: Watch as your form completions magically populate a Google Sheets spreadsheet, automating your data flow.
- ActiveCampaign: Effortlessly export contacts from your form to ActiveCampaign for streamlined organization.
- Bravo: Direct your collected contacts to Brevo with ease, keeping everything neatly organized.
- Microsoft Excel: Your form completions will automatically find their way into a Microsoft Excel workbook, simplifying data management.
- Airtable: Get your form completions zipping straight into an Airtable table, automating your data organization.
- ConvertKit: Revolutionize how you manage and connect your data, making it easier and more efficient.
- Klaviyo: Seamlessly send your form’s gathered contacts to Klaviyo for hassle-free organization.
- Beehiiv (via Zapier): Use Zapier to whisk your contacts from forms directly to Beehiiv, keeping everything in perfect order.
- Email (via Zapier): Automate Email actions via Zapier based on form responses, triggering the right emails at the right time.
- Shopify (via Zapier): Initiate Shopify actions effortlessly through Zapier, based on the replies from your forms.
For example, I integrated Google Sheets to get the real-time data of my subscribers. All you have to do is connect your Google account, allow some permissions, pick the sheet you want to use and you are good to go.
Step 8: Publish your Form
This is the final frontier before your form goes live! Now there are 2 ways you can make your form live. These are:
Share: This feature allows you to easily share your Visme Form across various platforms. Whether it’s through social media, email, or any other online channel, you get a dedicated link that you can distribute. It’s a simple and effective way to reach your audience wherever they are.
Embed: If you have a website or blog, Visme makes it a breeze to integrate your form directly into your site. This ensures a seamless user experience, as visitors can fill out the form without leaving your webpage. It’s perfect for keeping everything cohesive and user-friendly.
Once you embed the code, your form is ready to bring in hundreds of leads!
This is the nerve center of your firm’s performance. This is where numbers start to talk, and you get to listen. It’s all about giving you a crystal-clear picture of how your form is doing out there in the wild.
- Views: This is your first handshake with the audience. It counts how many eyes have landed on your form. Think of it as your form’s first impression tally.
- Start: Now we’re getting warmer. This number shows how many folks actually kicked off the form. It’s one thing to catch their eye; it’s another to get them to commit to that first click.
- Submitted: Here’s where the rubber meets the road. This figure represents the number of completed and submitted forms. It’s the ultimate goal, right?
- Completion Time: This nifty stat gives you the average time users take to fill out your form. It’s like a stopwatch for user engagement.
- Average Time: Another way to track efficiency, showing you the overall time users spend with your form.
Use this intel to tweak and optimize your form, ensuring it’s not just seen but also starts a conversation with your audience. And remember, the more user-friendly your form is, the more likely those views and starts will turn into submissions.
